POLYBOND™ 3349 polymer modifier is a maleic-anhydride functionalized LLDPE. It has a moderate viscosity and a high level of functionality that allows for low addition levels. POLYBOND 3349 is used in highly filled compounding applications that include wire & cable compounds using halogen-free flame retardants (HFFR), glass-filled LLDPE compounds, LLDPE blends with polyamide, and composites with high mineral content. It will also act as a compatibilizer for polymer blends with polar polymers such as polyamides and EVOH and as an adhesion promoter with substrates such as aluminum, stainless steel, and many polymers.
